Gretsch Experts Wanted - Trying to figure out what I've got Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hi Guys,

I recently purchase a vintage Gretsch kit and I'm trying to find out more about what I've got. I'm thinking that it is an early 1960's kit, but I'm really not sure. Here's a bunch of information. Please feel free to ask more questions. I can provide what ever pictures you'd like as well. I'd love to narrow down what year they were build. I'd be interested in estimates in value as well.

Model 4249 - Serial 67456

Model 4157 - Serial 70538

Model 4415 - Serial 67252

Model 4418 - Serial 69191

Model 4416 - Serial 69243

Sizes:

8x12

9x13

16x16

5x14

16x20

It has two original cymbal stands, high hat stand, snare stand, seat and floor tom legs. All original muffles work properly.

It also came with three Zildjian Cymbals

22" Ride - late 50's stamp

18" Ride - Early 60's Stamp

14" high hat cymbals - late 50's stamp

The only thing that does not appear to be original is that it came with a Ludwig base drum mount with a Ludwig dual tom mount. The bass drum is drilled for the rail mount that did not come with the kit. The bass drum cymbal mount is installed.

Thank you very much for your help.

Its pictured with a Yamaha tom mount with Gilbralter ISO mount (which fits the 5 tom 12" tom.

Like I mentioned before I believe you have the name band outfit. It came with all the drums you have except the 12" tom. I have the same kit also with five digit serial numbers. The name band would come with the 4157 snare as an option.

Sonor SQ2 10 14 18 American Walnut
L.A. Camco 12 14 18 Moss Green
Gretsch Round Badge 12 14 18 w/snare Champagne

I must have missed your other post about it. I'm sorry about that. Do you have any idea of the year?
