Gretsch guys, help me out. I need to see the inside of one of the 1960's drums in C.O.B. finish. I need to know if Gretsch used cup/finishing washers to attach the lugs. Please post a pic/pics with the top head/hoop removed if it isn't too much trouble so I may see the nuts/washers/etc.

I bought a 60's COB drum shell and am now getting around to finishing it up. I need tension rods and I bought 8 lugs but when I put them on the nuts are too long even though they are standard Gretsch nuts. That is why I was asking to see the inside of one of your shells so I can see how they have it set up so that I may duplicate it. I just bought a new replacement Micro strainer and I found the butt plate off my old wood snare in the garage so that drum will be done soon. My old wood snare has a Ludwig p-85 on it that I stole off my old Acrolite snare drum. I have a Zoom strainer for that drum. It's all coming together for my vintage stuff. If the new Micro works well I will probably get one for my wood snare and get it back to normal. Thanks for the pics guys...
