Gretsch 1947 Broadkaster - 24, 13, 16, + Snare ::: Time Capsule!

I'm really excited to add this lovely kit to the collection!

I picked this up a while back from the original owner's nephew.. His uncle purchased the kit and stored it beneath the bar that he owned out in CT. Well, he clearly kept the drums in great condition and/or didn't play them! All of the parts are completely original - including the calf heads! Beautiful White Marine Pearl wrap with the slammin' tone of 3 ply shells. The kit also came with a trap case full of goodies!

Check em out!

Thanks guys!

Chris

I don't collect Gretsch I'm a Slingerland guy, but those are beauriful.

I'd be proud to have them in my collection. Love those cymbal mounts (I think) on the front hoop.

Stunning. Congratulations, great score.

Fantastic find! The bar owner having those drums stashed away reminds me of a certain bar owner in Scottsdale that tried to keep my 1st pro level kit for a bar tab that our bands guitarist and singer ran up. I was 16 at the time and didn't even drink...Lol...He seriously locked them up in his office and tried to keep them.
