Gretch 3 ply Round Badge Snare

Loading...

Greetings all, new member here. First post.

I have a Gretch 3 ply round badge snare. I was wondering if anyone here could help me with the value of it. I believe the wrap is a pearl or diamond type. The drum is in good shape, wrap good no lifting. I believe all the chrome can be cleaned up just fine. It does not have the original snare or heads on it. Everything else seems original. The inside is silver or grayish with the round head screws. Any help would be appreciated. Vintage on!!!Walking

Thanks for your reply. I took off the head and took a pic. It looks to me to be 3 ply. I may be uploading wrong, the pics are pretty small. Can email you if you wish.

Floor show model? Was it made just for display? Did they have this in production?

Thanks again

$350 for a 3 ply 6-1/2 by 14 BDP?

Would think closer to double that......rare size for 3 ply this late in the game......at least $600....

Yes, in an ideal world! As it isn't an ideal world, I'd say at least $500, provided you make better pics should you want to sell it.

Along with the 3-ply shell, an important component of the sound of your drum is (are) the COB stick chopper hoops.

3 years ago, I paid $495 for my 1947, 3-ply Broadkaster, essentially the same 3-ply shell w/COB stick choppers as your drum.

Sonically, of my 16 snare dreams, it's at the top of my pecking list!

Depends on who you know,Ron.....

Some people have deep pockets.......

I agree though...it would move quicker @ $500.....
