Great sounding 'flawed' drums

Loading...

Can anyone give any examples of high end vintage drums particularly snares that would have been very high priced if they hadnt been 'cosmetically' damaged in some way and because of this could have been 'had' for a significantly lower cost??! Cool Dude I can't be buying im just very interested to know. The type of example I mean is for snares that function perfectly well and sound as absolutely amazing as they ever did, but your all welcome to talk about/ show any drums. I'm not sure about real unoriginality of parts though. Let's say for instance the drum looks ABSOLUTElY the worst a drum could look but still 'has it' entirely with sound. Any examples of scale, price, philosophy etc?. -just want to sit back and let you guys chip.

I got a set of 70's 3 ply ludwig super classics for £400 because they were re-wrapped, and badly at that. No one notices or cares though!

In concours condition, maybe worth £1800?
