What kind of Feedback is appropriate in a case like this, Luddy?
I haven't been in situation like this before and need some guidance for when/if it comes up...
Thanks

I'm not sure....maybe neutral feedback. The transaction wasn't horrible-that part of things went smoothy, you know reasonable shipping costs and time, and I will get to keep the thing for parts or dust collector or whatever, plus most of my $$ back....but I don't think positive feedback is in order or would be even reasonable in this case. I definitely wouldn't leave negative unless no refund comes about. The seller seems reasonable about things and I'm trying to be reasonable about the whole thing too without having to start a paypal dispute.

Maybe just low in the item description part of the feedback with an explanation in the comments?
Thanks
Feedback is about the transaction.... If the guy said he would refund you......and offered another option that you agreed on ...that is Positive.

You can leave positive feedback, and then rate the details of the transaction.
Item as described, how quickly they shipped, two or three other categories.....
A low rating in the Item as Described category would seem to apply here.

It was my baby brother that had traded his Acro for one of these because the teachers' thought was that they wanted a new sound in the band room, so he took the bait. It came in, we picked it up, and took it home. He played it for about 10 minutes, and then we called and told them we wanted the Acro back, there was a big stink over it. Mom was working for a lawyer, so it was over with rather quickly. The store's owner knew it was a POS, he had ordered a few and was getting stuck with them. Ludwig did not want to take them back, and it was going to be a fight if they did not stand behind them. Big fight was brewing between Lud and the dealer base.
This is another of the stupid things they did that helped seal their fate, along with the great decision to sell drums with rivets holding the seams of the wrap together. Another of the big innovations that lead to the ultimate demise of the former product. Too bad really, the drum could have been a decent thing if they had spent about 50 cents more on the plastic shell, making it thick enough to hold it's own weight and thicker lugs. In the 70s, that is about all it would have cost to make the shell thicker. It should have cost them about, what, another 2 bucks to make this a viable drum? Maybe 3? I don't know, but the costs of plastics, andf the types, would have made it a cool thing. Did they really think, after the R/D, that it would really fly like that?
Well....I got most of my oney back from the seller and got to keep the pretty much useless (as a playable drum) thing. I have decided to sell it off to recoup my losses. The seller really didn't want it back, but did state he would give a full refund if I returned it, however he would only refund my original shipping costs and not the cost to ship it back. My take on this was that he should pay for it to be returned as it was mis-represented, but he refused to do that. So, I opted to take a partial and relist it on ebay myself for whatever I could get for it.
BTW, I left neutral feedback for him. It doesn't dump his otherwise good rating, but it gets the message across to others that he's not the best seller out there either.

L-D I think you where more than fair! answer me this, the sellers photos are very detailed wouldn't you agree? you sell on ebay I sell on ebay, how did king not see these flaws when he was photoing the drum, and what was he looking at for the description, But I think you where very fair!
