Just wanted to mention my experience with a deal on craigs list this past week.
I have been wanting one of those Rock-n-sock thrones for a while but did not want to shell out 150.00. So I was watching Craigs List to see if one would pop up. Well it did but it was 60 miles away. I emailed the guy and said if you are ever coming this direction to bring it with and I would buy it. I did not expect a response. A few days later I get an email saying that he would do it. The emails turned into phone calls and we made arrangements. I asked if he had other business in our area or if he was driving all the way just to sell the throne. He said the throne was the only reason to come here, so I volunteered to meet him about half way.
Yesterday I met him to get the throne and he mentioned he had several inquiries on it from his own area. But being a good guy he told the other people that I was first, so he waited for me and drove 80 miles round trip to get it to me. What a great guy! And the throne was practically brand new and was only 75.00.
I know it has been discussed many times about how to handle a sell on craigs list, first come first serve, first guy with the cash gets it. Well, thankfully for me he did not have that attitude and I thought it would be nice to tell you guys so that the next time you sell something you might want to give that first caller a chance. Good to know there are still nice people out there that dont just think of themselves first.
The guy was really nice, we had a short conversation about music. He just emailed me again this morning to thank me! I am going to send him some pics of my drums, he could not get over the fact that I have 15 kits, lol!
