I thought I should add that after 1984, when the Rogers name was licensed to the Island Music Import co, they did continue to make the 8 inch version of the Dynasonic, however these drums are not the same. Lower quality, asian wood, and built offshore. The Rogers Big R badge is squarer in shape and lacks the USA designation. Avoid those.

I saw one of those at a local drum shop with a price tag of $600 a few months back. It sounded incredible, and I played on it every time I went in there, but I never pulled the trigger. It's gone now. Violin
