Hi Tommy! Thanks for the great info! Love seeing and reading about the early days on the different drum companies. Yes indeed shell does have that Blaemire look for sure. 3 point throw too a interesting choice given the Ludwig lugs.

Ya!, I know what you're saying about the 3 point AND the Ludwig Bowties .. except .. back with G&M Custom and right up and into the mid/late 60's, Bob Grauso/Fibes used all different hardware on the drums, usually based on what the customer wanted actually, but sometimes at his discretion. So ... the Bowties with a 3 Slingerland/Leedy 3 point on the same drum really isn't that odd! Once Fibes decided on the Diamond shaped lugs .. 1966 .. that was the end of other manufacturers lugs being used .. but .. all other hardware was still brought in from other companies, ie: spurs ... tom mounts ... floor tom legs/mounts ... bass drum mounted ride cymbal mount ... T-rods, etc. In the 60's they used primarily Gretsch hardware, but did advertize/offer Meazzi hardware in their catalog at the time. So, one could have a full Fibes set, but with a few different makes of hardware, all on the same set! Again though, early on with G&M, snare drum hardware was at the request of the customer ... so there were MANY variants!
