years ago ,back when wood burning stoves were enjoying a rennaissance, we used to see little posters here and there for a Newfie Wood stove ( my apologies for that, to all the good people from NFL.& L.--- but you know the drill on that, I am sure------ should have been a T.O. wood stove, I guess). It featured a nice picture of a well appointed wood burning cookstove , complete with woodgrain on all the parts. It was guaranteed to give a 24 hour burn. Ads for stoves ,at the time used to be embellished with how long a stove would burn on a single load .
