For sale I have a few Slingerland snare drums:

1. Slingerland Artist model snare in Champagne Sparkle. Dec. 1965. 3 ply clear maple shell, everything works and is in great cosmetic condition and it sounds great. No rust or pitting on the hardware. $299 plus shipping

2. Slingerland Hollywood Ace snare in White Marine Pearl. Date stamped June 1966. 3 ply with clear maple interior. Hardware is clean, wrap has a yellowed a bit but still has a nice color. It has 42 strand wires installed, which add a lot of sensitivity, but could use new heads (batter in particular). A very nice example. $249 plus shipping.

3. Slingerland Hollywood Ace snare in Blue & White Duco. Date stamp is hard to read but based on the badge and the mahogany shell I'm going to say it's a 1959. That date code is a bit smudge so I'm not sure the exact date, but based on the badge a 59-61, with my best educated guess being 1959 based on the classic mahogany 3 ply shell construction. There are obviously some paint chips to the finish, the front is the worst. Other negatives are the strainer needs a little help getting engaged; if you use the handle it gets to a certain point and get caught but if you give it a little lift it goes the rest of the way (if anyone has a simple solution let me know!). Also, there was a splinter to the inner ply split around a lug screw that I clamped and glued and it's very stable, no rattle, but worth noting. $199 plus shipping
