For sale I have a great collection of vintage Ludwigs. The bass drum, rack tom, and Jazz Festival are from 1963 with very close serial numbers which leads me to believe they were purchased together. NOB hardware, painted white interiors. The floor tom I added later. It's an early 70's 15x12 tenor tom that I had Rob Kampa (Magstar/Walberg & Auge) drill holes for leg mounts. It has chrome hardware, but it's a nice hold over until the next owner can find a matching Club Date floor tom. I used actual Ludwig mounts, and the legs are from World Max.
This is a great player set. 22x14 and 13x9. The wrap is in overall great shape. The rack tom and floor tom each have a section of rash (see pictures). The hoops were missing the inlay strips but I had some old Ludwig wrap I bought that was removed from an old bass drum and I had Drum Maker cut and install new inlays. The great thing about using the old wrap is that it closely matches the drum, whereas the new wrap wouldn't have the age.
Overall the hardware is in good shape. The hoops on the Jazz Festival have lost some of the nickel finish in sections, and the rack tom is missing most of it's baseball bat muffler. Also, the bass drum didn't come with all the hardware it needed. So it has 14 NOB claws (some have rust), 10 NOB t-rods, and the rest are modern replacement parts from World Max. Some of the tension rods on the rack tom are not original as well. Around the cymbal and spur mounts there's some splits in the inner ply but that pretty common, just wanted to mention it.
I'm clearly focusing on the negatives with this kit, it's a great player set and if you track down the rest of the unoriginal hardware it'll be more than that.
$899 plus shipping.
PM for more pictures, I have tons.
