Floor tom suspension

Loading...

Jeff,

They both work. I think the Pearl feet probably are a little more effective but both solve the issue.

I really learned my lesson with these when I purchased my 70's Premier kit. I tuned it up and held the floor tom by the rim and it sounded great; fat, warm and resonant with a nice, even sustain. I was looking forward to playing it so I installed the floor tom legs which had no rubber feet. The floor tom immediately turned into a flat cardboard box. That is when I ordered a bunch of Gibralter feet. I keep a drawer full of them just in case.

I never saw those Pearl feet so I'm glad Mark posted that vid. Thanks Mark~! I only knew about the Gibralter feet which do work well for what they are. Those are only like $4 for a 3 pack. The Pearl feet are like $10 for a 3 pack but do sound much better in that vid. Interesting design also. I'm going to try a set of the Pearl feet too and see how they are next time I have a order to place.

Sorry Wayne, I didn't think my question would have that many replies. Sorry to hijack the thread, did not intend to.

Thank you!
