Thanks to the guys who gave me advice on cleaning and detailing these drums. I use to use 0000 steel wool on hardware but not anymore. I just cleaned hardware with dawn dish liquid then polished everything about three times. On the shells, I used a non-oil based cleaner then used minwax "paste finishing wax" and rubbed the hell out of them. Lot of hard work, but they turned out pretty good, especially to be about 25 years old. Put the new heads on and let's get it on!!!

They look great.

I might be alone on this but, I love the modular hardware!

all the new isolation suspension systems are overrated.

Unless you are going for rediculos sustain it seems unessisary.

Once again beautiful drums.

When I was a kid I used to take apart my kit and clean it every 6 months(we played mostly in garages and warehouses) and I used to roadie for the real drummers around town.

Now I pull the heads off, start pulling lug casings and I'm burnt by the time I get to the sixth lug. Hands cramping up.

I need to get a roadie or understudy. But then again I wouldn't trust them with my lugs!

We dissuaded another from using steel wool on chrome!! They look great!!

Sometimes, the easiest method isn`t always the proper method...
