I just found out about these snares and i am tempted to order them and try them on my concert king...I will post a video as soon as i get them

I have the FCS14 dual-adj. wires on a 5x14 sonor ferro snare and they are the best wires I have ever used. Sorry I can't help you with the sound of the vintage ones you are looking at but as far as quality of the Fat Cat wires they are excellent.
