English Rogers in the US Last viewed: 7 hours ago

Some of you folks might be interested in augmenting your Rogers collection with an English version that is kind of cool, and in WMP for all you lovers of Mother of Toilet Seat pearl. It is on a site I haven't seen before, but noticed on Reverb.

Info indicates it has an unusual 16 diameter x 18 deep (I think) floor tom. At least it looks deeper than its width. I notice several interesting aspects of the mounts too; the bass mount is relatively high, the tom mount is relatively low, and the Rogers script is one panel away from its normal position, though I have seen quite a few Dayton toms laid out the same way and have even owned at least one setup in that manner.

For under $1k, the price looks right too.

Indeed Dan!, and... I have always liked the English Rogers script badges as they are a little different style than the USA Rogers. These are nice! My fear of course would be that they would have to stay INSIDE, as they don't look too faded/yellowed from UV. That's a lesson I most unfortunately learned the HARD WAY! These look NICE!

Cool set. Isn't that collet on the bass mounted in the same location where Ringo had his Swivo mount placed onto his Ludwig bass? Wonder if his mod influenced the English Rogers assembly line.

Doesn't that FT look smaller than a 16" in relation to the 13" mounted tom? I'm thinking it's the rarer 14x16 shell, and the owner measured from hoop to hoop like some non-drummers do. Still, very interesting set.

I wondered some of the same things Mike. Does look like the position of the Ringo mount, The guy is set up to sell vintage drums, so I assumed he knew the actual sizes, but it kind of looked like 16x14 to me too.

I knew you'd like it Tommy, given your penchant for WMP.

I went into Reverb and asked the question. I think it is 9x13, 12x20 and 16x14. We'll see what he says.
