Early 60's Black and Gold Duco Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

Was a friend of mine who passed away and just thought it would be nice to have one of his sets. I chose this one because always liked the black and gold and never had one. Looks like he kept it up nicely, all original heads I think. Bass, snare and tom came as a set. Floor tom was added later (serial #99574). Snare is a Pioneer.

22/12/14/14 sizes. Tom has original brass rims but snare has steel which he must of changed out. Wish I could talk to him about the set but can't.

Let me know if you eagle eyes can see anything that might not be original would love to know. Hope you will enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy having this classic.

Those are incredible and a nice reminder of your friend. The gold almost just looks like deeply glowing maple....fantastic!

Duco is so nice looking. I've never had an opportunity to buy one, but have always admired them.

Love that finish.. Such pristine condition too.. Sorry about your friend, but the kit will always be a reminder of your friendship and that's the most valuable thing of all.. A nice vintage Ludwig Duco kit in almost perfect condition is the sweet icing on the cake ;)
