That came out GREAT! The extra vent holes around the strainer will serve to keep it cool during performance thus avoiding the ever present issue of strainer overheating. Genius! Actually, the holes are not all that noticeable and this will be a fantastic snare drum; especially for $80.00!
Yes, I've had more heat seized strainers than I've had hot dinners so it's nice to know the cooling issue is sorted. I may plumb in some watercooling for good measure thoughHurting.

Great job nice to see a Dyna brought back to life. Tho it really isn't a Dyna without the frame. The frame makes a huge difference in the sound. I've also heard that Puresound has discontinued the snare wires they make for it so if you see some somewhere you might want to grab them.
