I purchased this sight unseen for $80US locally. I knew about the black paint and the missing badge but unfortunately there are extra holes, replacement butt plate and muffler and, as usual, the frame is missing and the bottom hoop has been replaced. So, anyone got a script badge and a butt plate they need to offload?

The serial number is 27705. Anyone know the approximate age?

A playable restoration is indeed possible here.

For me, this would have been a pass.

You cant save them all.

Early Fullerton I think.

Thanks Ploughman, i'll just get the paint off and get it into playing condition. I'd probably have passed on it if I lived in your part of the world but drums like this are very scarce here so i can't help myself when i come across one.

I missed that.

Actually, in your part of the world, it wont lose much value, because of that rarity.

Hi Andrew,

I have a spare "Rogers" script logo and three nickel-plated brass nails. PM me with your complete and accurate address and I'd be happy to send this to you free of charge. Always glad to help out a fellow drummer in New Zealand! I'll be really busy this entire week and may not be able to send it out until the beginning of next week.

Man, it is amazing what one can screw up with a can of Krylon! I think for $80 it was well worth taking a shot at it. Keep us informed.
