Just picked up this dw copper snare:

I have never owned one or played one-anyone have any thoiughts?

Odd one this, because its not really a vintage drum as such so shouldn't really be on here. BUT I have played one once. Very loud, very nice. You can't go wrong with these as a modern snare. I recommend you retro-fit with DW's latest snare mech system. The big block they had on their drums before are frankly dog mess.

I've owned several copper snares, all good especially the YAMAHA with the spun shell.Bowing

Never play it the same way once.
