I have a Duplex snare I'm thinking about selling. I've never seen one like this and I'm trying to figure out a price.
It's in excellent condition for 100 years old.

That is one of the most beautiful drums I have ever seen! I know that it is way out of my league though. If I owned this snare, I would never sell it. Thanks very much for sharing!

I have seen those selling on the bay.
I have an un-restored one in my spare room that I am buying from a friend. I had to scour eBay to determine what it was, because it has no badges on it.
Yours is really nice. Mine has beige paint slopped on it. I hope it comes out as nice as yours.

blacky - Even as clean and nice as yours is, they just don't command a high price in the marketplace. A drum like that is one you display, not play. There are also quite a few of them around. If you realize $200 to $300 for it, it will be a lot. Hard to find guys willing to fork over more than that for a display piece.
It is a sweet drum and in really great original condition. Good luck with your sale.

Blacky, lets talk.
I have the NOB version from the 1890's and would love a wood one.
Sadly Purdie is right, Duplex just dont demand much on the market. I think I got mine for 100 with the original Calf etc.
