Does anyone know a company or vendor who sells steambent 1pc maple snare drum shells? 14" by 5"-6"-7" depth. Just looking for a bare shell not a built snare. I have been looking for a snare for the 40's kit. I'm looking at Radio Kings and solid shell Artist snares (which i'd prefer) But have also thought about finding a bare shell and building one. The Radio King and Artist drums are a little spendy. Project snares have been $300+ on ebay and selling. So I'm just checking alternative options. If anyone has any info I'd really appreciate it thanks. Or any shells or project snares for sale please PM.

Thanks.

You might also want to consider Longo Custom Drums, made in PA.

Are you close to Portsmouth, NH?

Mark, L-D, thank you~! Those are just what I'm looking for.

73Rogers, Thanks, I'll check out Longo's a bit closer. I took a quick look and they make some very nice drums. They might be a bit out of my price range but I'll see what they get. Thank you!

Explorers Percussion in KCMO sells the Vaughncraft shells since they're local. They don't have them on their website though.
