A user on another forum I'm a member of is trying to get the names of these finishes. Thanks for any help!

I believe the drum on the right is MIJ, if that helps anyone. The wrap on the left he found out is called blue ripple.

Hi TEC!

I'm attaching a picture of a "Riviera" branded MIJ snare drum I had some years ago. As you can see, the wrap is the same as the bass drum you picture on the right side. The closest color match I can find is from a 1969 Pearl catalog, which is called "Blue Grain Pearl". I've never been able to track down the official name, but this seems close enough.

Wow! They is some crazy faded blue ripple. At first I thought it was a cool looking wrap that I had never saw before.

I believe that is a Hoshino made drum. I had a very similar kit in that finish recently

Fayray!

Yes, it does appear my drum would be a Hoshino. Thanks for posting!

I'll have to snap some inside shots, and bearing edge shots of the tom tomorrow. It really has me perplexed. The color is a dead ringer for Pearl's Blue Grain Pearl finish. But seeing a Hoshino badge makes me wonder if Riveria was also made by Hoshino. Or did all the companies have this finish?

Turns out is actually a Pearl. Tried a few different lugs but none were fitting " just right " Met up with the guy I bought all this from, and he happened across a few Pearl lugs ( Pearl written inside ) and they are dead on. They match the outline of the lugs that were there.I think we found the winner. Blue Grain Pearl.
