I like just about all lugs from the 20s-40s. Top of the list would have to be Ludwig Imperial.

I really like the sideways Ludwig piccolo lugs used on the downbeat and bebop snares. I don't think anybody makes lugs similar to those these days.

Favorites for me, from the top, the 1948 to 1954 Radio King 'Beaver Tail Super' lugs, the crem-de-l'art deco 1936 to End-of-Eternity Ludwig 'Imperial' lugs, any day of the year, and the good ol' Ludwig "Bowtie" 'Streamline' lugs, because those were the first I held in my hands at 10 years old from a 1973 Acrolite torn down and cleaned a gazillion times :)

These W&A lugs from the 30's are a one-off, but I love the simple design of the lugs in tandem with the Tympany style tuners. Classy stuff.
