Die cast rim swap? Last viewed: 2 days ago

So I picked up a sweet Keystone badge Ludwig Pioneer with Gretsch 6 lug die cast rims. Should I keep 'em or try to swap for Ludwig chrome or nickel rims from the same era or maybe even get new ones like these? BTW, the lugs are chrome not nickel. Thanks.

If its a players piece then I wouldn't spend the extra money. If you want it to be period correct, more collectible, or anything like that then I would suggest you get them

I would put correct hoops on it.

The die cast hoops will definitely alter the tone of the drum. If the drum is intended as merely a player, it's a matter of preference, and you'll probably want to experiment with both options.
