Did Pearl ever make "butcher block" drums? Last viewed: 33 minutes ago

Hey everyone,

I saw an ad on craigslist for a set of "vintage" drums and they're clearly of the butcher block type, but the guy says they're Pearl (there's no badges or any identification). This might be a re-wrap job, but I was wondering if anyone knew if Pearl made "vintage butcher block drums". I'm not crazy about Pearl drums, but found myself wondering. Here's the only available pictures:

I don't think these are Pearl. The lugs and claws look more like Star, as do the rest of the lugs. Can you get the pics sent to your email so we can get a better look? As for whether they did or not, I think it could be a contact paper wrap job. I don't think Pearl did, but you never know. In the early 70s, Slelmer was a big distibutor for Pearl in the US. With that association, I can see anything as possible. They did offer some wood grain, but not block type.

Thanks for all the info! Any idea of the value? (Let's just say they're in decent shape, I've only had those pictures to go by). Thanks again everyone.

Great! and i'd be buying, but the price is a bit much for my liking...

On a side note, I'd like to say thanks to all the experts on this site. Every one is super nice to first-time users, which creates great conversations and great knowledge! so thanks!
