6-1/2" by 14" BB's don't just show up everyday either though!

Keep the snares (and that's from a Rogers collector). WRR, while desirable, isn't as rare as perceived. In fact, there is a nice 20,12,14 around right now.
That BB (even though I haven't seen it) sounds really special.
But, it is alot of WRR drums! BTW - Totally agree with your age assessment re the lugs, etc.
Where is this 20/12/14 you speak of?

Ok guy's the run down on the set.The good news first. The set does have beavertail lugs on all the drums with cleveland tags with numbers from 40,000 range.Set does have a matching Dynasonic snare but also it has a C.O.B Dynasonic too.The guy showed me the paper work from when his dad got the set dated dec.1964 the set was a 4 pc 20,12,14 and the wood dyna..His dad ordered a 9x13 and 16x16 and a C.O.B. dyna to go with his set..Now on the wrap the good then the bad.The 9x13 and 16x16 the wrap looks new very bright both drums still had the heads that came on them he told me that his dad did not play these very much. The wood dyna finish i would say is 8 out of 10 on the brightest of the finish again his dad played the C.O.B. snare more than the wood one.Now the bad news on the other drums, the 20" has 6 cracks in the finish 4 are about 2" long near the lugs the other 2 are about 6" long are from the edge of the drum one on top one at the bottom of drum ..The 12' again cracks in finish i stop counting at 10 most are about 1" long. The 14" floor tom cracks 3 of them all from edge of drum the longest one is about 6" long. The wrap on all the drums i would say is 5 out of 10..With the cracks and the lack of the brightest of finish. The hardwear most of the stands "T" nuts did not work and needed to be re worked to fix same on the bass tom mount/legs..So with the problems with the set i did offer him the S/L/ radio king as trade only..But he said No that he would do the deal for the Ludwig B/B and 200.00 cash-he needed to pay his light bill..I said let me think about it and walked away.He said that he would call me if he wants the S/L snare...Mikey
so the set has a wood dyna too? wow ad still complete but a bummer about the wrap tough one..
If I had the snare drums, and if the decision were mine to make, I would still do it if none of the wrap is missing.
* Gentle hypodermic injections of super glue to stabilize the cracks.
* I assume that "T" nuts mean the Swivo collett nose spinners--fix them or replace them
* Novus spiff-up job to shine up the wrap more evenly
I love Slingerland drums, and care about Ludwigs only for what value they have in trades for drums that I like. I might miss the Slingy snare. I would be happy for the new owner who really likes the Luddie snare.
Tough one. If you do the deal and want to part with the 13/16 Id be pretty into it....

I dunno about trading for those, but........ I want first crack at the Dynasonic. The matching one.

Leedybdp, When i said that the "T nuts" are bad i was talking about the T-nuts on the stands not the Swivo nose spinners they seam to be ok a few of them do have some small cracks..None of the wrap was missing on any of the drums but on the other hand where the cracks are you can see the shell the cracks have pulled apart that much....Mikey
