Deal or Not Last viewed: 26 seconds ago
Sounds like an equitable deal all around. That 14" makes the kit unique and valuable. That's a swap I'd do.

Is 1964 still B/B lugs or beavertails? That's a weird situation to me,because the B/B drums are collectable but not really "useable"....and the price of steel replacement lugs totally shifts the trade value.Seems like an OK trade otherwise.
As previously stated, I'd definitely do the trade if they are beavertail lugs. Otherwise, probably not. If you make the trade, we will all expect pictures to drool over!
1964 will be beavertails. Actually, 1st Generation beavertails on the toms is most likely. You can expect to see short inserts on the lugs. Quite possibly the bass drum lugs will have the longer inserts. Serial numbers should be in the Mid 40,000 Range And, of course, Cleveland Ohio tags. Color should be vibrant. Remove a lug, careful with the 1st gen beavertails. There shouldnt be a phillips screw anywhere on the set. If the snare drum is a Dynasonic, I would like trade a kidney or some other vital organ for it.
My 64 Cleveland WRR is in the high 44,000 serial range.

Oh man....even if you don't do the deal, let's see what you have for pix anyway!

Sounds like the snares you have are worth around $4K.......
Is that kit worth that much?
I wouldn't think so............unless,wood Dyna with Beavertails............
In that color Cleveland tags, with a 14x14 you bet it is a sweet deal for both of you .... that kit will always bring high prices same as your snares...
You can hope that the wrap is not full of cracks or missing hunks. As great looking as the Rogers ripple wraps are, that's how fragile they are. Good luck with the deal. I would make the trade if the drums are bevertails, free of cracks, and color matching.
The only thing you have to lose by driving out to see the drums is gas money and time.
Determine "Deal or Not" when you inspect.
