Cymbals and snare stolen in Seattle!! Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Hi VDF members,

Figured I'd give you a heads up in case you see any of this for sale in Seattle.

My cymbals and snare were stolen from a secure, gated parking lot near the Sea-Tac airport last night.

The cymbal back pack contained

-One 20" thin/ high Constantinople with one rivet

Weight written under the bell 1885 ish

-One set 1960's new beat hihats

-one 18" zildjian dark thin crash.

Snare drum is a 1970's Gretsch rosewood in color that has been stripped an has no badge. Control sound head on top and a Ludwig throw.

My fingers re crosses that someone comes across these items.

Thanks, -Dave

It was a gated "secure " lot by the airport. They have no cameras.

You need to be proactive on your own behalf. How many pawn and buy&sell shops can there be in Seattle? 100 maybe? I would make up a small mailing to all of those businesses and include a detailed description of your items along with an offer to reimburse them for whatever they paid for the items.

Forget the police.

Good luck man. I know how it feels to be ripped off like that. It's not a good feeling.

Best wishes,

John

Too many great drums to list here!

immediate suspicion gets cast on the keepers of the keys. i'd be all over airport security on this and their culpability. at the very least, you should get some sort of insurance settlement from them( not a replacement by any means, I understand). someone on the inside did it. hopefully they will show up----watch Craig's Lift
