You are going to have to either get some black theatrical sand bags or sew some black covers for the bags you have!

Kit looks stellar by the way. One of my fave colors. I few rapped a jazz fest in sky blue pearl and it is a beauty.

I use felts under and one on top but i do not lock down the cymbal is is very loose also the best guard against key holing i have found is rubber tubing the kind you get on a sling shot just cut a piece and stretch it over the stand post ( the threaded part and then put on your wing nut it will only go to top of tubing so the cymbal is never tight..

While not vintage, these things are the best. No metal anything to ever rattle, no chasing cymbal sleeves, there is no way for a cymbal to push the sleeve off, the washer AlWAYS stays level (a pet peeve of mine in the old days) and they won't fall off the cymbal stand at all because they actually thread onto it. You can leave them wide open with no top felt and no wing nut if you so desire. Well worth the cost, which isn't much.

Standard equipment on Yamaha stands. (At least, the ones I bought.) Love 'em.

LOL - Stickler! Those little sand-bags are just what the doctor ordered for keeping the BD in place. The BDP on these is in excellent condition. They were well taken care of (mostly packed and unused by the original owner) and I was lucky enough to find a pre-serial jazzfest that matches the kit drums perfectly. The kit came with a pre-serial COB Super! I'm lucky/happy to have found the matching j-fest. I play them -everyday-.

Nothing on top of the cymbal is the biggest reason we have keyhole`n,..if you like that full vibration, tie a big not to a leather strap and hang them !!

There are heavy plastic sleeves on the posts. No metal to metal contact anywhere.
