Hi All,

Can anyone offer any info on this boom stand such as make, era, etc. I have a few items in my arsenal that I'm trying to identify. I have 2 of these stands for which I have owned for about 15 years or so.

That's a mid-1970's Ludwig Atlas series boom stand that someone has fitted the rubber feet from a Hercules series stand to. That type of stand should have been fitted with the swivel feet.

Ludwig doesn't sell them anymore, but you can get a similar substitute through someplace like Home Depot or Lowes Home improvement. They are the same as swivel foot chair glides. You just need to take off one of the rubber feet on the stand and measure the tubing diameter and get the chair glides that fit that tubing size. They look something like this:
