I had this custom built by REMO for my son. I had to jump through the hoops and get permission from the 'Turtle Studios' (so to speak) so that REMO could get the go ahead. It plays very nice and is a lot of fun. It's a one of a kind. The studio said this was the only drum they would authorize. I thought about getting a full kit when they did the authorization, knowing it wouldn't come around again, but decided against it due to cost. After all this, my son doesn't play the drums. DANG! So, I play it.
I would kill a man for this drum. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the coolest thing ever....when I was in second grade.
Dude!
I still totally dig the turts, man. Cowabunga! Let's kick some shell.
ok...that one hurt.LoLoLoLo
Dude!!! Would/Will you ever sell that! I don't think I've ever wanted a drum so much!
Johnny Quest would look good on a drum.
I appreciate the interest. It would take an obscene amount of money to pull this one away from me ... or maybe a seriously cool trade. But, as you could surmise, it's a very special one. Mirage Studios and Laird were not the easiest to deal with on this and it took me about a year to obtain written permission for this one-off drum. They were explicit in their authorization of only a single drum produced. REMO and I had to sign the agreement to this. Considering that Laird sold the TMNT rights to Nickelodeon a few years back, I would doubt that another drum will ever be authorized. It's a one-of-a-kind ... and I love it. It plays very well. I used it about three weeks ago on a gig. Unreal range.
I completely understand...lucky sob hahaha
