Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what kind of cymbal stand Mr. Ian Paice was using back in the 70's?

He put his ride and crash above each other on the same cymbal stand.

We used to do that before I knew who he was. Just a neat property of the old flat based stands. Just throw a felt and cymbal over that section and then bring the top section down throught it all. Worked on several different models, as long as you didn't care about cymbal longevity.

And here's Mr. Baker doing the same thing. I currently do the stacking thing also, but with a proper Gibralter tilter/stacker (15" Dark Crash Z on top of a 20" Zildjian ride).
