I have some of the Protechtor snare cases, and love them.

From emmojo

That would make sense except for the fact that I always wear white cotton gloves when I set up and tear down. Each drum is wiped for prints and smudges then placed in the case. While the drums are out of the cases, each one is placed inside each other and closed. Not much chance for just the one drum to be contaminated.

Wow! One time on tour, the headlining's band drummer sprayed myself and my Ludwig Classics with shaving cream as a end of tour prank. My tech just wiped em' off and in the trunks they went. We did eventually clean them, maybe a week or two when the next tour kicked off, but no damage was done.

Thank You,

I have always used hard cases and Gator has been my favorite brand. My club dates are in those same cases.

I would be happier if Gator would replace the cases without damage to the drums being already present.

I am going to send in the warrantee claim form anyway.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

The issues with Gator cases have been resolved. The glue thing affected one case line. It has been a while since. This is not a continuing problem. Its hard to believe there are still cases out there with people who do not know after this long.

From The Ploughman

The issues with Gator cases have been resolved. The glue thing affected one case line. It has been a while since. This is not a continuing problem. Its hard to believe there are still cases out there with people who do not know after this long.

I just had a warrantee issue this summer with my floor tom case.

The latch mechanism on the strap broke so I tried to get them to send me the new part.

They didn't stock the part any more so they sent me an entire new strap that I have to rivet on in place on the old strap.

Now, why didn't they tell me about the problem with those cases when they were failing to satisfy my warrantee claim?

I just sent in the warrantee claim because of this "new" problem and told them I want replacement cases that won't corrode my 50 year old Ludwigs.

I should take that rustry-crusty supraphonic that I bought on Saturday (see my George P Stone thread) and put that in my Gator snare drum case and then make a warrantee clain.
