complete set 67 rogers drums w/cases Last viewed: 9 hours ago

I have a 1967 set of Rogers drums that my late husband owned. He was sole owner (still have receipts). Drums also in leather cases bought with drums, also included are cymbals, seat, etc., all in a leather case. The drums are white or pearl. My daughter is getting married and I'm interested in selling them to help pay for wedding. What should I ask for these drums? They are in perfect condition.

Where are you located? Are you willing to ship? Without photos of the drums, it's impossible to assign value. Value in vintage drums is tied to condition. Without pix, no way to tell.

First of all, sorry for your loss.

There will be several folks on this site that will be interested in that kit. Rogers made great drums and they are well esteemed here. If you would, take some detail pictures and measure the drums. Measure the width from the inside of the rim across the head. Don't worry about the depth as we will know that. If you can measure the cymbals that would be helpful as well. If its not too much trouble it would be great to remove a head from at least one if not all of the drums (preferably the bottom head) and get a photo of the interior(s).

This may be more of an undertaking than you were planning on, however, the more detailed information you have, the more money they will bring. My guess is they will sell on this site pretty quickly. If not, you will garner enough information about the kit to sell it knowledgeably locally.

Let us know if we can help along the way.

My condolences as well.

I know it seems like a lot of trouble to do some of the things requested, but it really is necessary. It will benefit you greatly to post pics. Perhaps you could get your future son-in-law to help you, if you don't know where to begin (not meant to be sexist)? It's very easy to post pics. Feel free to PM me if you have any difficulties.

Lots of Rogers experts here. You will get a reliable assessment on this site; not someone trying to get a 'deal'.

Best of luck to you, and congratulations on the upcoming nuptials.

My condolences for your loss. As we all know too well, it can be a difficult task passing on the belongings of a loved one, but be comforted by the fact that the memory of your husband will live on with his drums, as we vintage drum enthusiasts care not only for the equipment, but rather also for the provenance of the instruments. It's important to know who owned the drums, what type of music did they play, where did they play, and were they a drummer for a particular band or recording artist. Share this with the fortunate buyer and your husband's memory and musical life will live on.

Please pay attention to the advice and appraisals you will recieve from our Rogers experts here before you consider selling these drums. The snare drum alone on that set could be worth $200 or $2,500. We want you to get a fair price for that set, and we want your daughter to have a wonderful wedding day.

I am sorry as well.

On a lighter note, I'm getting married in the next year... Jeez I better not let my fiancee see this thread - she'll be making me sell my drums to pay for the wedding!Yes Sir

A white marine pearl Rogers kit was my dream that I abandoned last year. Maybe it would make a nice wedding gift now?

Once again, the perfect example of asking a question and then not following through with updated information. I just don't get it!

I was going to write to not everybody "hooray!" too early, when I read this few days ago.

Too good to be true.

We get a dozen, or more, 'drive-by's' a month here! I only respond occasionally now to 'first-time posters' because 9 out of 10 of them are gone before the first week is out. If I see the guy is an old-timer who sounds sincere, I'll play welcome wagon, but most of them are just 'drive-by's.' Here today, gone tomorrow. They get their answers and split without ever putting anything back in the pot.

Sometimes I feel so used and dirty! lol
