Cocktail Drums - Vintage and Unique Last viewed: 15 minutes ago

Loading...

Hello...

While searching for a cocktail drum set I ran across a couple of Vintage drum sites. I finally purchased a trixon cocktail kit for my smaller gigs, but would like to buy a vintage cocktail kit eventually.

Someone advised me to hold on to my Trixon kit because it would someday be very valuable. Not sure about that but I am collecting pictures ....especially interested in Cocktail kits. The site http:www.allAboutCocktailDrums.com has a few vintage cocktail kits in the gallery but would like to add more. Also interested in the Be-Bop kits.

Did a video on Youtube about the Cocktail kit :) http://www.youtube.com/djladydrummer

Love viewing these beautiful kits.

Denise, welcome aboard and yes...hold on to the Trixon kit :)

Cocktail kits look like a lot of fun I must admit. I actually have a wine cask to make a cocktail drum with.

Welcome..Denise to this great forum.Have a few questions about the Trion Cocktail it,Do you know if its vintage or the new Trixon one? If its vintage you have a very rare drum setup. If its the new Trixon drums these are not the same as the vintage ones they are not made in Germany the new Trixons are M.I.J. and are not the same thing..Photos would be great.Just side note on Cocktail sets i have a friend in Hollywood,ca who has a collection of these drums at last count he had 80 set's made by Ludwig,Slingerland,Trixon,Gretsch,Rogers.W.F.L., Camco and Leedy..All of them are from 1950-1960's...Mikey
