Hey everyone. This might be a dumb question, but is there any logic to what serial numbers were used on COB Supras or were they just peppered in there with the ludalloy models and the serial numbers fell where they fell?

Best way to tell a COB from Ludwig is usually the crimped snare beds and the weight, COB's are much heavier then the "Ludalloy" Supras. On more recent models, I'm at a loss on that.
Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

The picture on the left should say 'Brass' snare bed. The one on the right is luddaloy.
In addition, the brass shell will have a rolled inner shell, as shown in the illustration.
