Cloning vintage drumsticks. Any custom makers?

Loading...

Hey guys, I have a pair of vintage 11A Ludwig drumsticks that I would like to clone in multiple copies. Does anyone know of a custom maker who I can send a pair to to get them clones? I'm not looking for someone who will just put my name on a drumstick... thanks all!

I usually use Bopworks sticks, they are made like vintage ones. Thin and light tipped, there are a variety of models though and they all have exact measurements listed on the site. Maybe they might suit your need instead of going through customization.

As I use my local cabinetmaker for bearing edges (he does a superb job)...all I can suggest is finding a woodturner....you know, someone who does rail pickets, balustres, and the like.

They would probably be proficient enough to match up a pair of sticks.

But, man...it wouldn't be cheap. Might be better o just try to find the closest contemporary match, as others above suggest....

Yes, customdrumsticks.com, that's exactly what those guys specialize in. I've been thinking of having them clone some old Gretsch sticks I have.

Google Chrome does a nice fast automatic translation of the site.
