It amazes me when folks compare vistas to wood. If you have ever properly set up and tuned a vistalite set, they sound superb. Different? yea, superb? yea. I'm using clear ambassadors top and bottom and an Evans single ply Gmad (or emad or somethin' like that) on the bass drum. Now get out those vista's and play 'em...

It's always hard to tell alot from pictures, but the set looks pretty nice overall. The wooden hoops are chewed, but that is fairly common*.
I think the price is towards the high side of average, but certainly not out of line. And only $99 for shipping seems cheap.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
* - I replaced my Vistalite wooden hoops with chrome metal Ludwig Rocker hoops. They look nice, don't get chewed up and help support the bass drum shell better.
