Chicago Drum Show/Nato Summitt

Hey gang, I've been planning all year to go to Chicago for the Drum show and just found out about the Nato Summitt. Do you think it's going to affect the city much? Last time we had G20 up here in Toronto, it was gonzo style crazy. Half of downtown was closed, protesters were fightin' cops, cops were fightin protesters, and alot of folks just standing around. Cop cars were on fire and there was just a general atmosphere of no fun. Was hoping to check out the city while down for the show, cuz I've heard so much about Chi town, but getting arrested or having my head bashed in just doesn't seem like a fun way to spend one's vacation. So if anyone's got any thoughts on this would love to here about it, as I gotta book soon. Thanks and keep on layin' that solid rhythm down-drwatts

Drum show is around 30 miles West of downtown Chicago,so should be no problem..

i live here and have most of my life there is always the element of problems at any convention /summit but are police force will be on top of it it should go smooth any way ohare airport and st charles is west of the city /loop you'll be find come on down
