Any help on Identifying these shells? Came home-wrapped in Black Naugahyde. Fibes Lugs on 16" Floor Tom and (2) Toms on Swivomatic Stand with Rogers Mounts - Both 13 x 9. Drilled for lugs top and bottom. Black painted wood interior with painted checkerboard with clear plastic or fiberglas. Quite a mystery !

Wait... You say black painted wood interiors with clear acrylic Or fiberglass? That doesn't make any sense and I dont see any indication of wood there. Especially the one pic with the separated seam.
That's acrylic which someone painted checkerboard onto, and probably came stock with rogers mounts since most people didn't like stock fibes hardware
Im even more confused looking at this again.
the two black toms on the rogers stand are not the same toms as the checkerboard ones, with the checkerboard wrap removed? explain this a little bit
It looks like a set of Fibes fiberglass shells that were originally in that checkerboard gel coat pattern. I don't see any wood there.
Someone swapped the tom mount hardware and then probably someone else wrapped it in naugahyde.

Wow - thanks for the feedback ! Here's a bit more:
The set came with the "Fibes-erglas" Checkerboard Floor Tom and (2) Stand-mounted Toms AND a basic import with Bass, (2) Mounted Toms and (1) Floor Tom. These were Nauga-wrapped and when peeled off it is painted checkerboard on black wood! The Fibes are truly checkerboard on acrylic, the imports a black painted typical wood. Some pics will show details. Also came with '68 Dynasonic and Ghost Ludwig. Now I will see if I can get the rubber cement off the Fibes. Thanks !
