I have a CB 700 MX SEIES 5 piece kit. What are they worth?

CB drums are almost exclusively student level and as such I've seen them go for $100 for a full set, with hardware and cymbals. Sorry if this is bad news...The late 70's "Wristwatch" drums have a sort of cult following.

Agreed.

CB, RB, Linko, Westbury. All bottom of the barrel.

There's 3 sets of em within 100 miles of me for $100 or best offer rite now. Be half that down in the states. Even the wristwatch ones aren't worth much more.

Yep, inexpensive set new, real cheap used. Bought a 5-pc CB set with El Cheapo pedal and High Hat for $150 and turned it into this for a school Holiday concert:

Now, I'm looking for another one, super-cheap in bad condition, just to make one of these:

Never bought one of these to actually play, and I'm not very familiar with modern, entry-level sets, so what exactly is a "wristwatch" set??

Mike!

The later CB700's had a new lug design, whereas the original lug looked like Pearl. The later lug actually "looked" like a wrist watch!, hence that term. If you do a search for ..."CB700 wrist watch lug" ... you will see what they look like!

Oooh, okay... now I see what you're talking about. I guess I should hang around the "Non-US Drums" section more. Thanks Tommy.

Mike!

Funny thing... I rarely hang around the "Non-US Vintage Drums" category.. but .. I used to teach at a music store/drum shop that had the CB700 line available as entry level drums, and remember the lug design change when those NEW drums came in. Personally, at the time anyway, I liked the original/Pearl style lug much better than the NEW "wrist watch"... and still do... if I had to choose between the two.
