Camco Parade Drums Last viewed: 19 minutes ago

Just wondering how often any of you happen to run across Camco Parade Drums?

I happen to own one that a good friend of mine found at an Estate Sale several years ago. However, it's the only one I've ever seen in the local area.

Did Camco produce these in extremely limited quantities or are there others out there that I just haven't noticed?

Yes Camco made parade drums in snare's/tom's/bass drum's/..They made two line one was "Parade Masters" they had the round lug with metal rims and "Parade Queen" center lug wood rims drums like the one you posted..If the top of my had the snare's/ and toms were in these sizes 10x14,12x15.12x16..The bass drums were 8x24.10x24, and 8x28,10x28..

I have not seen many of these drums over the year's.The ones i have had and sold were 10x14's and 12x15's snare and toms..Only had 2 bass drums i think they were one of each in sizes 8x24 and 8x28..

I would say that any of these drums are rare to come by today..

Oh i have never seen a 12x16 tom or snare drum ever...Mikey

A guy on CL around a year ago here had two 12 by 16 Geo Way drums for $60 the pair! Red Sparkle...

I grabbed em..

1 was pretty messed up,and incomplete......

Traded the other one to a guy in Virginia to make a BD out of,and he said he loves it!

"Always make sure your front bottom BD lugs clear the ground!"

I've only had 1 Camco parade drum in my 20 plus years of collecting Camco. It was a 12x16. I still have the 16" bottom snare hoop! Ironically I've had 3 George Way parade drums, all of them 10x14. The best of the 3 is red sparkle and I had it cut down to 4.5x14 to represent the ever elusive Casino Model.

1957 George Way BDP 26" concert bass drum
1959 George Way BDP 22/12/16 w/ 5.5x14
1959 George Way Green Sparkle 22/12/16 w/5.5x14
1961 George Way Blue Sparkle 20/12/15
1961 George Way Jelly Bean 20/12/14 w/4.5x14
1960’s Camco Oaklawn Champagne 20/12/14/16w/5x14
1971-73 Camco Chanute Walnut 24/14/18 w/5x14 COB
