Would anyone be able to tell me the bearing edge profile measurements of Oaklawn Camcos? I'd also be curious on the George Way measurements as well if they are any different. Inner and outer cut please. Thanks in advance!

Someone hit it up already but if you are not in a rush I will shoot pics of the edges on my kit.

Thanks, I would appreciate it. I wasn't able to find the other thread in my search though. If you or any one else is bored I'd be grateful if you used a square to get the measurements too. Pictures are helpful though but not as accurate. I'd do it myself but unfortunately for now I am Camcoless. No major hurry though.
If you're interested in putting Way/Camco edges on some other companies shells in order to hopefully reproduce a vintage Camco sound, you'd stand a better chance of accomplishing the goal if you use vintage 6-ply Jasper shells. The Oaklawn and Chanute shells were manufactured by Jasper Wood Products and it is -those drums- that are sought after for their great sound/tone. A lot goes into that 'Great Camco Sound' edges, shells and hardware all contribute to the sound. Camco edges alone on (anybody else's) shells isn't going to do it. It'll help the sound I'm sure, but it won't 'sound like' a vintage Oaklawn/Chanute Camco, (or Geo. Way) kit does.
I never measured the edges on my Geo. Way drums or my Oaklawn Camcos. What I can tell you is; visually they have the fattest/biggest round-over I have ever seen on any other drums. Tons of head to shell contact. I believe it is that effective transfer of vibration from head to shell that makes those drums sound and resonate the way they do.
Best sounding drums on the planet.

This from an eBAY seller:
"The Oaklawn era bearing edges were an inside 60 degree with a round over at the outer edge of the shell. The outer two plys contact the drum head."

Thanks for the responses guys. I did come across that ebay listing but I wasnt sure if it was accurate. I know we've all come across sellers that will quote facts that may or may not be true. Purdie, thanks for the information there. I am trying to get an edge like a Camco on a new shell just to experiment. I wouldn't say to reproduce at this point but more to pay homage. Though I would like to be as accurate as I can be.
