Thanks!

Purdie Shuffle,

Ringo's looking for the correct bass logo, not drum badge. The link you provided went to badges.

There are at least two out there. One is the C encircling the 'amco' and the other is has a capital C and lower case other letters. One seller offers the second version with slightly slanted text. But the catalogs don't seem to indicate any slate in the text. The catalogs do seem to indicate both being used around 65 or so.

The vintage drum guide on this site might help you Ringo.

This is the most common and probably "correct" for an oval badge kit

The slanted one as mentioned was used during the Kustom era 1971-73 like the one listed in the link below. Although the slanted logo was featured on the very first catalog from the Oaklawn era to my knowledge it was never used as a bass drum logo during that era.

My favorite is from the early to mid 60's Oaklawn era as pictured below.

I really like the logo on that BDP set, not to mention how beautiful the set itself is. Very nice indeed.

Do you know if anyone is reproducing that logo?

Purdie Shuffle - I knew you were trying to help and I hope I didn't lay any offense on my note.

The one on my BDP bass drum is one I had made thru a print shop. It cost me $10 to have it done. Thanks for the kind words. I wish I could've kept it but that kit is long gone. I sold it when I picked this kit up.
