Calfskin heads

Only ever used Calfskin as a snare batter... Came fitted on a new Soundking way back. I persevered for about six weeks and by then the head was stretched & too far gone.. Not for me I decided, at least not for gigging one night stands... I spent near as much time tuning between songs as the annoying guitarist with his SG...

Cheers

John

As much as I love them on a snare, I seem to always tear them from rimshots, and I am not a heavy hitter anymore. To me, the little bit of tweaking is worth the sound, the Earthtone heads seem to be more stable, maybe because of the steel hoops.
