By GEORGE WAY we have a WINNER!

I've been watching this auction since it was listed. George Way snare drums generally don't do so well, usually topping out at around $500. Well this one shot up from $250 - $860 today with around 4 hours to go and finally ending at $1206. I have a feeling it was a combo of being a 1 owner drum that is in pristine condition and it's in the very classy WMP finish. This is the first George Way snare drum I've seen fetch a Camco Aristocrat price and in a bad economy, very well done!

Hopefully this will start the trend of GW drums commanding more money than they have in the past.

Hopefully this will start the trend of GW drums commanding more money than they have in the past.

This is just eBay. One sale doth not a trend make. It is what it is.

eBay is all over the place. I believe it's a combination of the increase in individuals interested in vintage drums, newbies who don't know any better, and schill bidding (BIG time) that has thrown the numbers off so much.

DolFan54 Yes it's nice to see a GW snare drum sell for that..A funny story about GW drums most people that are looking for Camco drums don't think the GW drums are Camco's my point years ago at a swap-meet a lady was selling a GW set the guy before me was looking at it and telling his friend that it was not a Camco set so he passed up the set did not even ask for a price he wanted a Camco set so after he left i asked the price for this set a 4 pc in green sparkle 22,13,16,14 matching snare she said 100.00 for the drums and some of the hardware this was 15 years ago..Mikey
