Brook Mays Rogers Drums - Recovered/Restored

Here is the Brook Mays Rogers kit I got for $115 shipped. It was missing rims/hoops etc. It had some major scratches on the lacquer finish and I wanted to recover them anyway, so I used vinyl fabric like I have on several other kits. I also changed out the kick drum claws for a more "vintage" look :) These maple shells sound amazing....I'm very happy with this kit

It's sad that Brook Mays was unable to make a go of their iteration of the Rogers brand.That is a good quality set. Little details like tall boy hoops and an upgraded spring-loaded wing-nut tightened "knobby" mount could have separated them from the rest. Big R hardware was WAY ahead of everyone else. Good score!
