Bogus ebay BOP ad is back again... Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

That same Ludwig black oyster ad is up yet again. I bid about 30 times. My highest bid is $150. If any of you want to put another 30 bids in starting at $151 that would help run the ad off. It will be gone by tomorrow I'm sure but in the mean time possibly someone actually did email the jerk and already is sending money? I know they got me once, never lost $$$ but I sure could have if I let them.

If anyone knows how to really "bust" them...please do!!

I'm sure if someone could show that they have muliple listings, do it continually and with some frequency, it could be considered a cyber crime. I would think this would be the FBI's jurisdiction, but I doubt they would be willing to spend much time investigating, with all the other filth that fills the news on a daily basis. Maybe one of our members is FBI, or knows someone in the bureau. I'd like to see the scammers busted!

Ad is already down, but it will be back again, under a different seller in about 5 days, maybe less. I just don't see how ebay can't back track and find who is posting this ad. It's been going on now for over a year!

I've done that several times, spoke to "them" on the phone, etc. and so on.

Still, it keeps coming back. It will be back in a few days.

Why would anyone keep listing a bogus item with no intent to sell? What is there to gain here?

the ad is real, or it was at one time. But this poster has you email him and then wants paid via western union to another country!! That's were I jumped off and escaped. But I imagine there are those who didn't and money was sent. Big time scam and it just keeps on going.

Caveat Emptor! Buyer beware!

Tons of international scams out there... like the one from the lawyer or widow with millions sitting in a bank in Ethiopia and all they need is your bank account info so they can then transfer the funds to you.

Sounds pretty obvious don't it? Look up the FBI statistics on how many people get fooled and robbed blind by this one seemingly "obvious" rip-off scheme.

We're through the looking glass here amigos. It's the internet; Caveat emptor.... caveat emptor!
