BÖC Kit on ebay

Loading...

Here's a perfect example of a vintage kit that's been truly played (to hell?), and modified for function rather than pristine preservation over the years...

Not tooo bad shape all things considered. Probably worth the asking price for the cowbell alone...

I don't know. I have no idea what a $40,000 cowbell would look like!

"Also at that point I had stopped using the Premier snare drum that came with the set. Instead, I was using a Ludwig supra-phonic snare drum, the same kind that Ringo used with the Beatles."

You know, for 40 grand, you'd think they guy would have his facts fairly straight in the narrative. I guess 40 grand just don't buy what it used to.

Doesn't look like oyster black to me. And anyway, wouldn't oyster blue have been more appropriate?(fighting the temptation to buy it now). :)

I'm sure there is some ummm "mental fog" from years of being in a famous rock band... hahaha

The real question... he says the cowbell was used on stage for many years but is it THE cowbell we have all grown to love from the studio recordings lol

Are there any pics of him playing that kit back in the day? Those would be some cool shots to add to the ebay listing. I saw them for the first time in 1982! Bowing

BOC came to Lubbock last september and played at the fair. The sound company rented my Gretsch drums for the concert. He commented he didnt like my drum kit. They had brand new evens g2 heads and were miced. He wanted a 18" floor tom , which I didnt have then, but i included my slingy 20" floor tom. Like I said he wasnt impressed, but they sounded great to me. Here's a pic. Nearly all my drums are vintage and the hardware pretty much sucks on them, but the hardware on there cheap Gretsch is great.

Poppy, that 20" FT is awesome. I love my 18", but that 20 incher is something else!

Cool pic of your outfit. He didn't like your kit? He shoulda' brought his own.
